Enabling a country and/or area filter, you are able to segment site traffic according to the user’s geo-location.
Information about users’ geographical location is deduced by examining the users’ IP address; determining which location and organisation that IP address has been assigned to; and determining geographical location from that.
By localizing each IP address, SiteAnalyze is able to provide information about where the user accessed the site from.
Note that geo-locational information can only be indicative. The reason for this is that slight inaccuracies are inherent in the way that geographical location is determined; and that users may employ methods of concealing their origin using proxy servers or anonymizers to access your site.
